A Response to Rising Costs and a Personal Calling
In 2025, after more than a decade at Murray Engineering and over 15,000+ signed house plans, I reached my ten‑year milestone. At the same time, my kids were entering adulthood — and struggling to afford the very homes I had spent years designing.
That didn’t sit right with me.
With encouragement from friends, colleagues, and family, I launched Mended Oak Design & Engineering in August 2025 to offer a practical, meaningful alternative: house plans that cost less to build, use common materials, and give families an achievable way to having the home they need.
This work is more than engineering. It’s a way to serve the next generation.
