For Permit Ready plans - we have a four-step process:
1) Identify a ready-made plan. Find the plan you want and the level you want and purchase it. You will receive an email confirming your purchase along with the floor plan of the model you ordered. We'll follow up within 1 business day to confirm some of the details about your project, such as the location of the building site, ensuring you have the right level of plans, and who your local building authority is.
1) OR contact us for custom work. From there, we'll have a conversation based on your needs so everything is clear about what to expect and how we'll proceed. Once everything is clear, we'll agree on terms, set up a contract, and get to work to producing your plans. We generally require a partial payment up front to get started.
2) Review and approve your plan. Whether it's a ready-made plan off the shelf or a fully customized plan, you'll have the opportunity to review everything. Once everything looks right, we'll take the next step.
3) Receive your completed plans. we'll finalize the plan and send you a published set of PDFs in the level and format you desired. If you purchased permit-ready plans, there may be some back and forth with your local authority. Every jurisdiction is different and their requirements change from time to time. We'll stick with you through the permitting process.
4) Apply for a permit. Include the plans when you apply for a permit with your local building authority or take them to your general contractor. (Note: a few local municipalities still require hand-signed plans. We will provide those as needed by request.)
5) We'll be on-call. We'll stick around to help and advise through the permitting process and building process.
